I enjoy learning about how clothing helps the person wearing them and how one is perceived and interacted with based on how they dress.
Human interaction is not mysterious. We do what we do for a reason - to be noticed or to not be noticed to be accepted, to fit in… Our clothes make a statement about who we are and how we think and feel about ourselves.
It is constant work to know who we are and what our goals are. Clothing helps us communicate to others our mood, our expectations, and a little bit about our personality. Check in at GettingDressed.com to see what’s being explored related to these areas of self development and self exploration!
Each day, I strive to:
1. Show great respect for my fellow beings.
2. Give assistance and kindness wherever needed.
3. Do what I know to be right.
4. Dedicate a share of my efforts to the greater good.
5. Be truthful and honest at all times.
6. Take full responsibility for my actions.
7. Be thankful for the opportunities and challenges presented to me.
Hi there,
I noticed your blog name on my views earlier and came here to find my name on your blogroll. Although I am not sure how my blog persona fits into ‘getting dressed’, it is an appreciated surprise. Thank you very much.
It’s strange in a way. I read your two last posts and just this week have been on this ‘I don’t take care of my body as much as I do of my mind’-trip. Seems I might be coming by here to remind me of that thought. Looking forward to exploring more.
And, I’ll have to tell my mother to come by too, she is very much into ‘don’t leave the house without looking your best, you might just bump into the one person you always wanted to meet’.
Spasmically Perfect is a fun read! You explore areas that we all think about, and while not directly related to dressing… definitely supports discovery and it’s worth sharing for other perpetual explorers!
Greetings Jess,
I appreciate being selected for your blogroll. Thanks!
I think you selected an interesting article for the pingback. It does seem, that when we are overly stressed, our appearance tends to go by the wayside, hmm.
I’ll be back for more.
Cheers
